    “MMUN Conference is really good for us to see how the teenagers from all the countries think about the world issues. And I feel excited for the real Secretary General in United Nations to look at our ideas about world problems. Also I think this event needs to be known by more people in Beijing, and hopefully there will be more students that can join us next year.”

    The things I Learn during Preparation

    The country we represented is Argentina. Argentina is a country that I have no idea about. So the first thing I learned is how to learn about a country that is completely unknown. Through the research on internet, I made a country fact portfolio for the whole delegation, which includes the history, politics, economy, and other information about every perspective of Argentina. The second thing we learned is to do the research about the position paper and also to judge the information, because we can’t post whatever we want into the paper, but the news or article needs to come out from a legal and powerful website. And we must choose which information is more important and helpful.

    The Things I Learn during the Conference

    For the conference I learned a lot too. First, I learned to get ready for all possible situations, because during the discussion every speaker’s idea is possibly questioned. So always being well prepared and concentrated is important. Second, I learned how to make friends with strangers. If you do not communicate with others, you won’t have allies for the resolution. I really learned how to speak with strangers and make friends and learned to be confident and brave to speak. My partner Kelly and I made a lot of foreign friends. We exchanged gifts and took down each others’ email address.

    I wish that there will be more students joining our MMUN, and we can have a bigger group next year for the conference.
